Earlier Narendra Modi stadium has 49,000 seats after renovated stadium has reportedly increased its size to 1,32,000 seating capacity. In Feb. 2021, the stadium was renamed the Narendra Modi ( Prime Minister )Stadium by the Gujarat Cricket Association.
The overall renovation cost of the Motera Stadium is around Rs. 7 Bn. It is spread across 63 acres of land, There are three entry points to the stadium.
It has the biggest parking space within a stadium premise in the world as it can fit up to 3,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers in one go.
The stadium name is Narendra Modi Stadium but the Enclave name is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave, which includes the world’s largest cricket stadium, indoor swimming pool, facilities for athletics and track and field sports, a football stadium, a game of field hockey, and tennis stadium, indoor sports halls and arenas, velodrome/ skating area, and outdoor fields, Enclave spreads in 220 acres.
